Check-in is from 3:00 p.m., and you can arrive at any hour — even in the middle of the night. We use self check-in: you complete your registration online in advance (signature, ID and payment), and on the day of arrival you receive your personal room code to go straight to your room. Please complete your registration by 11:00 p.m. 

From 8:00 a.m. you can leave your luggage at any time and use our lobby, common areas, our pleasant terrace or do your private activities until the accommodation is ready to check in.

Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Late check-out is available on request for an additional $25.

Don’t worry — you’re never left without help. If you arrive after reception closes (11:30 p.m.), we send you a 24-hour emergency number beforehand. If anything doesn’t work on arrival, one call is all it takes and we’ll assist you right away.

To make sure everything is ready: complete your online registration (details + final payment) before 11:00 p.m. on your arrival day. Your code goes active and you receive the emergency contact automatically.

The easiest route is to fly into David airport (Enrique Malek) and continue by road — roughly 1 hour to Boquete. Driving from Panama City takes about 6½–7 hours.

From David you have several options:

• Private shuttle (recommended): around $50. Safe, reliable, English-speaking driver. We’ll arrange it for you.
• Taxi: $30–45 per trip (1–3 people), available at the airport.
• Bus: $1.75 per person, every 20 minutes (5:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.).
• Uber: under $20 from the airport. Note that Uber works David → Boquete, but not the other way round.

After booking we send you detailed directions and the exact location of your accommodation. Want the shuttle? Just let us know and we’ll set it up.

We keep it simple — two rates, plus a bonus for the spontaneous:

• Flexible Rate: reserve with a 50% deposit and pay the balance at the latest on arrival day. Free cancellation with full refund until 3 days before arrival.
• Non-Refundable Rate (−10%): pay 100% upfront and save 10%. Non-refundable — that’s the deal behind the discount.
• Last-Minute Offers: our lowest prices, available only for same-day arrival. We post them daily on Instagram (@villaalejandropanama) and Facebook.

With the Flexible Rate you can cancel free of charge — with a full refund — until 3 days before arrival (arriving Thursday? Cancel free until Monday). Within 3 days of arrival, the deposit is no longer refundable.

Our prices are live — they move with season, day of the week and real availability (the same room can cost less on a Monday than on a Friday).

We have a minimum stay of one night and a maximum short-term stay of 30 days. If you would like to stay longer, please get in touch and we will check for availability and provide a bespoke rental rate for you.

• Villa Alejandro: a flat 7-minute walk to downtown Boquete — restaurants, cafés and the supermarket, no car needed.
• El Cielo: a flat 7-minute walk to downtown.
• The Residence: 5 minutes by car (a scenic 25-minute uphill walk if you’re feeling active).
• Río Verde: 6 minutes by car, on the banks of the Río Palo Alto.
• Casa Mate: 10 minutes by car, on a green hillside in El Santuario.
• Casa Reina: 15 minutes by car — the most panoramic spot in the collection, high on the Volcancito hillside.

Yes — we offer extra beds (queen or twin size, depending on the space available in your room). Just request one when booking and our reception team will confirm the details.

Of course — families are warmly welcome at all six of our hotels. Every accommodation can take an extra bed for the little ones, and Villa Alejandro, The Residence and El Cielo also offer spacious two-bedroom family suites. Children under 14 stay free — just tell us who’s coming when you book.

Absolutely — bring your groceries, bring your wine. Depending on the hotel, your accommodation has its own kitchenette and/or access to a large, professionally equipped shared kitchen.

Prefer eating out? Plenty of restaurants are within walking distance of our downtown hotels, and several deliver — we’re happy to share our favorites.

Spring, all year round. Days are a pleasant 20–25 °C (68–77 °F), evenings fresh and cool — pack a light jacket for dinner. Our highland climate means no air conditioning and no heating needed; every accommodation has hot water, warm bedding, quality linen and towels, and orthopedic mattresses.

Tourists can enter Panama for a maximum of 90 days without needing a visa. However, you will need a valid passport.

Panama consistently ranks among the safest countries in Latin America — it’s a favorite not only with travelers but with expats and retirees, which says a lot. Boquete itself is a small, friendly mountain town. Normal travel common sense applies, as anywhere in the world.
