We did not hesitate to book a room for the second time in The Residence by Villa Alejandro. As a Panamanian/American let me tell you this is by far the most classy, outstanding, comfortable, convenient, eco friendly and warm hotel you can stay in this town. It feels like renting and airbnb.Villa Alejandro front desk will connect you with every activity and restaurant around. This review is for everyone and specifically for Europeans who want to visit our country. A best for less is for the double queen room upstairs. It is like a suite. The suite was very roomy, clean... read moreMy wife and I stayed at the Residence by Villa Alejandro for 3 nights in the Pieter Fischer suite. The suite was very roomy, clean and very well set up. It was a wonderful, peaceful oasis during our stay. It has a lovely bathroom, kitchenette, and spacious main room, as well as a patio with small table to enjoy the outside. My wife was very impressed (which is highly unusual as she is very picky). The grounds are also beautifully kept. The location is about 1 km from the main street and many restaurants. One point to note, the staff are fastidious on check out regarding any stains or markings on towels, bedding etc, and will charge for any un-cleanable markings (makeup or hair coloring). We didn't incur any charges but it was checked before we left. They also provide slippers as they don't allow footwear within the residence. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would gladly revisit this gem of a residence. read less

Due to Boquete being known for its lush beauty and peaceful rivers, we were truly hoping for a very peaceful and relaxing stay and chose La Residencia by Villa Alejandro. The Casita Riverside was exactly what we wanted. The location is only about a mile from downtown, which allowed us to walk to shopping, restaurants, etc. and the setting was perfect. This casita sits just above a small river and is nestled in amongst the trees. There is a sliding glass door leading to a small deck and several windows through the unit; even the shower has a large (tinted) window that you can open to enjoy the river and the birds. We slept so well with the sound of the river and woke every morning to birds chirping and singing. We will be back! read less
