We aim to grow and expand rapidly, starting in the Boquete area and later moving nationwide.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Developer to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in finding new investors, creating additional holiday bungalow resorts, holiday apartments, and short-term rentals. The role involves both greenfield projects and converting existing properties to meet our needs.

This position offers a starting salary of $1,200.00 per month. Full-time employment.

Location: Boquete, Panamá.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Identify and secure new investors for our projects.
  • Develop and manage new holiday bungalow resorts, holiday apartments, and short-term rentals.
  • Work closely with architects and constructors to oversee project development.
  • Lead the conversion of existing properties into hotels according to our standards.
  • Establish and grow a new department within our company dedicated to these projects.
  • Network and build relationships within the real estate and tourism industry.

This role is crucial in enhancing operational efficiency and guest service.

The Operations Supervisor has two main responsibilities at Villa Alejandro: Serving as the hotel’s ambassador and managing internal operations.

As the ambassador, this role involves engaging with guests face-to-face, ensuring their satisfaction through personal interactions and small talks, such as inquiring about their stay and expressing gratitude for their visit.

On the management side, the Operations Supervisor ensures that internal operations run smoothly and efficiently, coordinating with specialized departments, leading the team with psychological competence and experience, fostering a positive work environment.

This position offers a starting salary of $1,00.00 – $1,200.00 per month. Full-time employment.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Ambassadorship and Proactive Guest Relations: Act as the ambassador of Villa Alejandro, engaging proactively with guests beyond problem-solving instances. Enhance guest experiences through daily interactions, gathering insights, and ensuring satisfaction with the hotel’s hospitality.
  • Team Leadership and Atmosphere: Foster a professional and motivating team atmosphere. Promote teamwork and high performance among staff. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Culture of Accountability and Improvement: To foster accountability and ensure high standards in tasks, collaborate closely with the Human Resources, Cleaning, and Training supervisors. Encourage team innovation and continuous improvement within this collaborative framework.
  • Guest Experience Enhancement: Standardize and verify check-in procedures, engage with guests, and promote services.
  • Reservation and Payment Management: Ensure the receptionist team accurately handles bookings and payments via OTAs and direct bookings, implementing compliance checks.
  • Communication and Digital Engagement: Oversee receptionist communication and digital interactions, ensuring content and tone are appropriate.
  • Onboarding and Training: Oversee new staff onboarding and training, collaborating with the Human Resource Department and the Department of Education and Training.
  • Quality and Maintenance Management: Ensure high-quality standards and manage maintenance tasks, collaborating with the Cleaning supervisor.
  • Financial Oversight and Cost Management: Collaborate closely with the accounting department, office administration, and company management to establish and monitor departmental budgets. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and occupancy. Ensure financial practices align with overall hotel goals and objectives.
  • Operational Strategy and Reporting: Enhance operational efficiency and guest service through initiatives, maintaining detailed daily reports.
  • Market Adaptation and Promotions: Involves working with the marketing department to foster relationships with local businesses and enhance guest experiences. It also includes collaborating on using email and other channels for promotions and last-minute offers, and aligning with the marketing department on promotional strategies and market adaptation efforts.

COMPETENCIES:

Extensive knowledge and experience in the hotel industry: Including operational and customer service management.

Demonstrated experience: In supervisory or management roles in the hotel industry.

Proactive Attitude: Willingness to go the extra mile, ensuring tasks are efficiently and effectively completed, and taking initiative to improve operations.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages preferred).

On call: It is important to us to be available on call as needed to ensure we can address any urgent matters promptly.
